Are tulips and daffodils supposed to disappear after they bloom?

All of my tulips, daffodils and alliums leaves are gone is that normal? The leaves looked like they were getting little holes in them I'm not sure if it was bugs or heat. They are some on the south side and east side of the house and both are the same.

They only last a couple of weeks, you might have something eating the leaves..............you can use a dawn 2 tablespoons & 1 qt water and spray......................or use neem oil spray............repeat when it rains.  Have you seen any ants around them............?
