What is this tree/weed. Strong smelling white flowers in cluster, thorns

Live in Missouri.     Trunks get thick and treelike.  Over 6 ft tall.  Many small leave across from each other.  White flowers hung down in triangular clusters.  Smell very strong.  Didn't last long.  Taking over a hill that is hard  to maintain. Looks like a branch along the ground that they grow up from.  Grows very fast.

Sounds invasive.  thorns........if you have children, grandchildren or pets, you might want to get rid of this before someone gets injured.
