HOw to keep sliced peaches from turning brown

I have sliced fresh peaches and will not be using them immediately.

How do I keep them from turning brown or do I not have to worry about that?

put lemon juice on them or ascorbic acid bought at any drug store potatoes and apples do the same thing turn brown when left in the air with no liquid on them
