We bought a house 2 years ago in NE Florida that has a dwarf orange tree in the yard.  It produces small, not very sweet oranges (with some pits). Both summers it has produced very few blossoms and only 8 oranges overall.  This year it is loaded with blossoms which is encouraging but what can I do to improve the quality of the fruit?  It gets sun most of the day..  I have no idea how old the tree is - must be at least 4 years and not more than 11 years old.

Do you regularly fertilize the tree with a product such as Miracid?  Orange trees need acidic soil and should be fertilized once a month.  They are also very susceptible to temperature.  The idea temperature for oranges to do well is between 70 and 80 degrees year round.
maybe your neighbor know the answer to the age of the trees........orange trees have a special fertilizer......ask your forrester......and find out about adding lime.....we use lime to sweeten the ground for the fruit trees.  You might need to test that soil and see what is missing.
ph should be 5.0-7.0
