If you water it around the bottom and mist the top, it will stop drooping. It just needs water because the sun is beating down on it. Your plant is perfectly normal and will NOT die so don't worry. Water it at the bottom and mist it. You will need to do this daily if it is planted in a sunsetting position. Remember, it needs plenty of sun; but, the afternoon/evening sun really sucks it to death. NEVER water during the day...always early morning or late evening!! Also for a test, do not water one day and notice that although it is drooping, the night dew will make it perk up AGAIN.!! It is better NOT to let the soil underneath become DRY!! Good luck and these plants are just beautiful. Right before the first frost, you can trim it all the way down and next spring, it will pop out again FRESH!! Also read about the many ways that you can change the colors of the flowers by just doing a few tricks to the plant.

Do have two red currant bushes that are now almost 10 years old but they do never bear any fruit, a few berries here and there in the last few hyears that is all.  We live in a Park environment where it is rocky and many trees nearby, so could it be they are starving?  I never fertilized them and of course I know I should prune them wich I neglected to do.  Is there something I can do,?  Would it help iv I amend the soil deep down and put a sheep manure mixture all around the root work?  Same is true for the gooseberries, the bush has lots of leaves in spring but there is an insect that radicates the bush of all green.  The berries that follow are very small.  Thank you in advance for your help.  Gerlinde Paterson.
