My wisteria has yellow leaves - just planted this year - in full sun - does this mean a deficiency?

When I bought it it was a small plant in a container.    I planted it in my garden (by the compost pile_  in full sun.  It has adequate water but not too wet.  It has a yellow cast to the leaves which was not there when I bought it.  They are not dying but the plant does not seem to be growing either.  The yellow color of the leaves does not seem to be healthy.   Thought it may need nutrients it is not curently getting but didn't want to just guess at what it may need.  Thanks for any help you may give me.

Check the soil PH, it should be in a very narrow range of 4.2 to 4.6, any higher or lower and the plant will die.
