I have a peach tree (2rd year since I planted it) that suffered tremendously last year from leaf curl.  I knocked that down with liquid copper but lost most of the leaves for most of the season.  This year the treee has no signs of leaf curl, but it dropped most of the fruit very eary on, there was some mummification of the fruit but it looked like most of it just got knocked off.  Now the remaining fruit has a black deposit at the base of the fruit stem (especially where there are 2 together) and some leaves stuck to the fruit.  I live in Huntsville AL.

I only use dormant oil fall, spring into bud.........once bud opens then I only spray the trunk.......................only thing right now that is safe to use around bees is soapy water. After the sun passes over and the tree is cooled off.........mix up 2 tablespoon dawn & 1 qt water and spray..........
that also sounds like a fungus..............when you trim this tree in the spring............clean the blade with alcohol.......and each cut clean it........and super clean it after cutting this tree not to take it to another tree.  We had to remove 22 plum trees because of the black knot disease................check you other trees to make sure that it is not spreading.  If you can't control this fungus........you might need to remove this tree.............they should be spread 25 feet apart for good air circulation.
