early spring right after the snow starts to melt, put composted horsemanure and lime on them............ph should be 5.5-7.0 this is listed in the fruit family. add a layer of mulch to the top to keep the weeds down. any flowers that come up cut them down to the ground as they will take away from the roots. 1st year take none, 2nd year a few, 3 rd year harvest 8 to 10 weeks. If you have below 32 degrees in the winter cover them with a heavy layer of straw or hay.
