How do I prevent the dirt outside the walls of my house from getting so soggy?

Right outside my bedroom walls, the dirt is very soggy & won't dry up. It seems to be causing mold to grow on the dirt & near the walls of my house. How do I dry the dirt & keep the water away from my house?  I already have extended gutters.

AN. Assistance in this matter  is greatly appreciated!  Thank you!!

A french drain would work well for this problem.but that is expensive....or it could be that the ground itself is lower near the house.........if that is the problem then that area would need to be built up for the water to go the other way.
