How to keep raccoons out of my garbage cans???

I am having a hard time keeping raccons out of my garbage cans?  I have no clue what to do??

Put pure ammonia in a spray bottle, spray inside....and outside.............they don't like it and neither do the bears...............keeps the dogs out also.  I kept moth balls in the bottom on the can and put a 55 gallon bag inside...........when you put the bag out.........spray it again with the ammonia.

If you can a shed that you can lock, put the metal cans with tight lids on and spray with ammonia.
