We have some sweet potoates that have sprouted in our home and were wondering if it would be okay to plant them in our yard?  It is August and we live in the midwest...

You could try but the time to plant them is late spring early summer.  Cover them with 6 inches of hay so that they don't freeze.....or plant in a cold frame.
