I received some iris starts from a friend last fall. This spring, only six of the ten plants have blossoms. Do you have an idea why the rest haven't bloomed?

Probably your iris just need another year to establish themselves. It is common for only about three-fourths of a new planting of iris to bloom the first year, so you are about on target. Just give them another year and a little fertilizer of bone meal this fall, and they should all be blooming next spring.

When pulling some weeds among my iris I discovered some mushy rhizomes.  So I cut off those parts until I only had healthy ones left.  My question is, will the newly re-planted iris survive being planted the first of June??
Some of the bulbs have to mature a year-or they might have been old bulbs-check where you bought them-
Can u cut down the ires at the end of the summer.
Make sure the top of the rhizones are barely covered. If they are planted too deeply they will not bloom. Also they do not like to be mulched.
How can I transfer wild irises that are growing all over in one of our lots and plant then in our front yard?
